Dr. jur. Ernst SALZMANN, born on June 18th, 1893 in Czernowitz, Bukovina/Austro-Hungarian Empire [later: Cernăuți/Romania, today: Tscherniwzi|Чернівці/Ukraine] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), lived in Vienna's 18th district, Depschergasse 8/ 1, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 2nd year of his studies.
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on April 13th, 1938).
