Norbert ROKEACH, born on April 28th, 1914 in Cieszanow, Galicia/Austro-Hungarian Empire [Cieszanów/Poland] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), son of Salomon Rokeach (merchant), lived in Vienna's 2nd district, Schiffamtsgasse 17/10, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Medical School in the 4th year of his studies (fall term 1937/38 was validated on February 15th, 1938).
In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (Leaving Certificate ("Abgangszeugnis") was issued on July 4th, 1938).
