Rosa BERTISCH, recte WEINBERG, born on October 4
th, 1911 in Vienna (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), daughter of Sigmund Bertisch (merchant), lived in Vienna 3rd district, Dampfschiffstraße 14/8. After she had graduated from high school for girls ('Realgymnasium für Maedchen') in Vienna 2nd district, Hollandstrasse 4, she began to study medicine at the University of Vienna in fall term 1930/31.
Rosa Bertisch-Weinberg was enrolled finally in fall term 1936/37 at the Medical School in the 5th year of her studies ('Absolutorium' was certified on Juli 18
th, 1938) and was preparing for the final exams ('Rigorosen') in 1938.
She could finally finish her studies and graduated on July 21
st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a 'Nichtarierpromotion', which included at the same time that she was banned from her profession.
