Julius Martin PERESZLENYI (later: ESSLIN), born on June 8th, 1918 in Budapest/Hungary (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, Citizenship: Austria), son of Paul Pereszlenyi (editorial journalist), lived in Wien 2, Sterneckplatz 11, was enrolled finally in the fall term 1937/38 at the Philosophical School and took courses in English language and literature Studies, as well as studies at the 'Max Reinhardt Seminar' drama school.
He emigrated via Belgium to Great Britain in 1939, was head of the drama department of the BBC from 1963 to 1976 and lectured at the Stanford University in California/USA.
