Emil PARNAS, born on August 26^th, 1911 in Vienna/Austria (entitled residency ('heimatberechtigt') for Vienna/Austria, citizenship: Austria), son of Joachim Parnas (salesman) and Chana Golde, lived in Vienna's 15^th district, Grenzgasse 20, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 3^rd year of his studies. In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism he was forced to quit his studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna (leaving certificate was issued on May 18^th, 1938). He had to flee from Vienna and could emigrate to the USA together with his brother, M.D. Jacob Parnas. They arrived in New York/NY on July 1^st 1938. They were naturalized in 1944 and became American citizens. Emil Parnas died on March 19^th, 1989 in Los Angeles, USA.
