Cilly PAIS (nee PARNES), born on May 31^st, 1914 in Petryków/Poland [Belarus] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Beirut/Syria, citizenship 1938: France), daughter of Samuel Parnes (merchant), lived in Vienna's 1_st district, Robertgasse 2, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 1^st year of her studies and took courses in Pharmaceutics and Chemistry.

In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
