Cilly PAIS (nee PARNES), born on May 31st, 1914 in Petryków/Poland [Belarus] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Beirut/Syria, citizenship 1938: France), daughter of Samuel Parnes (merchant), lived in Vienna's 1st district, Robertgasse 2, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Philosophical School in the 1st year of her studies and took courses in Pharmaceutics and Chemistry.

In 1938, after the takeover of power of National-Socialism she was forced to quit her studies for racist reason and to leave the University of Vienna.
