Elisabeth SCHWARCZ (married: LOEW [LOW]), born on September 25th, 1913 in Vienna/Austro-Hungarian Empire [Austria] (entitled residency ("heimatberechtigt") for Vienna/Austria, citizenship 1938: Austria), daughter of Adolf Schwarcz, who immigrated from Hungary (b. November 1st, 1884, owner of the inn in Vienna's 17th district, Ottakringer Strasse 50, later Vienna's 16th district, Lerchenfelder Guertel 49) and Berta Schwarcz, née Ehrenthal (b. July 13th, 1893), lived inVienna's 9th district, Bruennlbadgasse 18, was enrolled finally in the spring term 1938 at the Medical School in the 5th and last year of her studies.

In the spring term of 1938 she could continue her studies in the context of the 2%-Numerus clausus of Jewish Students for at least two months until the end of the term ("Absolutorium" was certified on December 2nd, 1938), but she was forced to leave the university withour the chance to graduate.
Her older brother Julius Schwarcz, who also studied at the Medical School, succeeded in finishing his studies and graduated on October 31st, 1938, but only with the discriminating ceremony of a "Nichtarierpromotion".

She had to flee Austria and was still able to emigrate in time to the British Mandate territory of Palestine [Israel], where she lived in Tel Aviv. There, in 1939, she married her fellow Viennese student Dr. Samuel Löw [Low] (1910-2004), who, also expelled from Vienna, was able to emigrate to Palestine (he had already graduated in medicine from the University of Vienna on July 20th, 1935). On Oct. 3rd, 1940, their daughter Tamar (Adini) was born there. They were naturalized in Palestine [Israel] on November 29th, 1940.

Elisabeth Low, née Schwarcz, died on November 27th, 2003 at the age of 90 inTel Aviv, Israel.
